Donald Lawrence Briggs, 82

Donald Lawrence Briggs, 82, passed away on Sunday, July 14, 2019, in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2019, at the Sandpoint Christian Center with Pastor Wesley Ribeiro officiating.

Don was born on March 7, 1937, in Los Angeles, California, to Art and Margaret Briggs. He grew up and attended schools in Redondo Beach, Cali-fornia. He served his country in the United States Navy. After the service he sold cars at Birdsong Auto Sales.

Don married Margaret Poole on April 9, 1963, and they spent most of their lives in Red Bluff, California. Don was the resident manager of Valley Mini-Storage for 23 years. He retired in 2006 and moved to Sagle, Idaho.

He enjoyed coin collecting, antique radios and antique motorcycles and cars.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Margaret Briggs of Sagle; three daughters, Cindy Toney (Timothy) of Rudy, Arkansas, Kristi Briggs-Bell (Cindy) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Lori Briggs of Sagle; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marjorie Lou Fleming of Sagle.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Ron Briggs; and three brothers, Richard, William and George.
