Wear shoes or flip-flops to avoid goose poop

In response to Jerry Stern’s letter about the geese at City Beach: First, I completely agree, the banding program is a useless interim step. It’s almost guaranteed that 80 to 90%of these geese will be back. It’s not like they’re going to realize, “Whoa, better never go back there again.”

However, the geese have been doing this a lot longer than we have. We are the interlopers here. How about we “kill the people” and use the meat to feed the homeless? Remember, “Soylent Green is people.”

Or, here’s a thought; wear some shoes or flip-flops. Most folks in Sandpoint have some and it won’t cost the city, county or state anything.
