King of the Kongcrete skate competition sign-ups open

Once again, the Sandpoint Parks and Recreation department will hold the King of the Kongcrete skate competition.
This newfound tradition will held on Saturday, Aug. 17 at Travers Park’s Concrete Lake Skate Park, located at 2102 Pine Street in Sandpoint. The event will start at noon and will be run on a rolling schedule until its completion.
There will be awards for both the best tricks and the best runs in each of the four skill level categories: beginner, intermediate, advanced and shop-sponsored.
Entry fee is $15 per person. Helmets required for all competitors. Knee, elbow and wrist pads are not required, but are recommended.
Registration can be completed either before Aug. 16 at www.sandpointidaho.gov/parksrecreation, or in-person on Aug. 17 from 10 a.m. to noon.
