Lakes group set to meet June 19

PRIEST RIVER — The Idaho Lakes Commission will take in updates on a number of Priest Lake projects when it meets on Wednesday, June 19.

The meeting starts at 10 a.m. at the Beardmore Building downtown.

Steve Klatt, Bonner County’s director of Road & Bridge, will bring the commission up to date on improvements to the Outlet Bay Dam and the Thorofare. The Idaho Department of Fish & Game will give a presentation on the Priest River cold water augmentation concept, while the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality will present on the Idaho Pollutant Discharge Elimination System. Erin Plue of Idaho Forest Group will discuss transforming forest health and there will be an update on aquatic invasive species.
