CAL hosting Paws for a Cause walk

SANDPOINT — It’s no wonder dogs are man’s best friend; after all they, too, are now helping to raise money for a good cause. And they will be doing it by engaging in the activity they enjoy most — going for a walk.

Every dog has his (or her) day — and this year, that day is Saturday, June 8, when the Community Assistance League sponsors its annual Paws for a Cause dog walk from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Lakeview Park, Ella and Ontario, Sandpoint. You can show up with a dog, or come without one.

Entry fee to the walk is by donation. Each dog will receive a colorful kerchief and treats for taking part in the walk and there will be prizes and raffles in addition to the walk.

All proceeds will benefit Community Cancer Services.
