It seems to us that we would be better off putting our money into a local levy for our schools than sending it to Boise for the people who represent (?) us to take a big chunk out of it before any is returned to us.

If the state of Idaho was to finance the total education as required by our constitution, our money would go to Boise before it comes back to the county. To finance all this, these representatives (?) would have to increase the revenue. This would be done by increasing taxes on food, gas and who knows what else.

If you are old enough to vote, your primary and secondary educations were financed by taxpayers. No matter how the money was collected, when the school district received the money, those dollars came from taxpayers. Many of those taxpayers did not have children in school at the time you benefited from those dollars. Now it is our turn.

To us, it seems we would be much better off keeping our money local. It is now time to do our share in paying this forward.

Keep our money local. Support the levy.
