Student named 'Pathfinder' scholar
Elizabeth J. Marshall from Sandpoint was recognized as a National Pathfinder Scholar by the National Federation of Republican Women this past August.
The National Pathfinder fund awards three $2,500 scholarships to applicants nationwide each year in honor of Former First Lady Nancy Reagan.
The daughter of Louis and Angela Marshall, Elizabeth Marshall is a Sandpoint native and graduate of Sandpoint High School.
Marshall is second-year student at the University of Idaho where she is pursuing degrees in political science and business.
At the University of Idaho, Marshall is an active member of Phi Eta Sigma college honors’ society, College Republicans, The Student Alumni relations board and Kappa Delta sorority. She is also the photo editor for the university’s student-run newspaper, The Argonaut in addition to her work for them as a news reporter and opinion columnist.
Marshall spent her summer interning for U.S. Sen. Mike Crapo at his Boise office and has also previously worked on Gov. Brad Little’s gubernatorial campaign.
