The levy vote is over. Now the work begins.

I would ask those who opposed the levy get together and come up with your main concerns and your vision of education for Bonner County over the next several years. Then during the next two years several of you could meet with Lake Pend Oreille School District Superintendent Shawn Woodward and some of the school board trustees to make your concerns known. You are right. Certainly, transparency and accountability must be taken into consideration without sacrificing the quality of education our children are currently receiving. You could help disseminate, with your effective letter writing, a better understanding of the problems facing the LPOSD as well as mutually agreed upon solutions for these concerns.
