Mikayla Schoening was named Sandpoint Distinguished Young Woman for 2019 at Saturday’s program, receiving a $3,000 scholarship and will represent the community at the upcoming state program in Idaho Falls. Sloan Strock was selected as second runner-up, receiving a $1,000 scholarship;and April Redford was named first runner-up, receiving a $2,000 scholarship. The Spirit Award, $150 scholarship, went to Emily Rainey. The Be Your Best Self Award, and a $150 scholarship, was presented to April Redford.
