Annual rundown of region's great races continues

| March 27, 2019 1:00 AM

Get ready for the second part of the 2019 Run Down, here is what is scheduled to date.

These events are by no means a complete list of annual community-based activities, so keep an eye out for new events and new dates that happen every year.

These events run through spring, summer, and fall. Most of these events range from fun runs, triathlons, bike rides and other community or competitive activities.

Please keep in mind that the fun runs and kid races are never too difficult, so walking is always an option.

As noted above, these are not all the races and fun events scheduled of 2019. Look to local community organizations to see if any are planning a fun day of activity and racing. These events are a great reason to get out and be active while supporting your various programs and organizations. Please keep in mind many of these events need volunteers and without help from the community, would likely not be able to happen. Sadly, this is my last yearly event run down and next week, I will be wrapping up almost ten years of writing this column.
