Patricia Louise 'Patty' Baker, 82

Patricia Louise “Patty” Baker, 82, of Ponderay, Idaho. passed away on Saturday, March 23, 2019, in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2019, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Sandpoint Stake Center, 602 Schweitzer Cutoff Road, with Bishop Steven Roos conducting. Visitation will be held in the Relief Society Room one hour prior to service time.

Patricia was born on October 21, 1936, in Loma Linda, Calif., to Milton and Emma McGuire. She graduated from Colton High School in 1954. In her early years she worked as a medical transcriptionist in Sacramento, Calif.

Patricia married Gerald Baker on December 7, 1960 in Reno, Nev., and they were later sealed in the Oakland Temple. Together they raised five children; four sons and a daughter. She was a devoted wife, mother and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she spent many glorious days with her husband. She will be missed by everyone who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her five children, Scott (Leemarie) Baker of Ponderay, Daniel (Brenda Babiak) Baker of Anchorage, Alaska, Mary (Chris Hummer) Baker of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, James (Victoria) Baker of Deltona, Fla., and Chris (Debbie) Baker of Ponderay; 14 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Baker; and two sisters, Linda and Rosie.
