This woman, Mary Barra, CEO of General Motors, needs to be replaced, now.
President Donald Trump pressured her to re-open the Ohio manufacturing plant in Lordstown that she recently closed putting 1,700 people out of work. She is blaming the unions but in reality she is totally incompetent to run a company the size of General Motors. She has put thousands of American workers out of work, closing many, many manufacturing plants.
Why does the board of directors of General Motors put up with this woman? Give her a pink slip and say, adios. The government bailed out General Motors a few years ago under her leadership as it was going out of business. A lot of good that did. Yet she is still there.
How can other companies in the manufacturing of automobiles and trucks in this booming economy continue in business without laying off thousands of American workers but General Motors does not. Her answer is close more manufacturing plants. Whatever you do, Mary Barra, try hard not to negotiate with the unions and the towns and cities where you closed the manufacturing facilities to come up with a better solution. Just please remember, as my Irish relatives always said, “the fish always stinks from the head down.”
Good luck, Mary Barra, finding another job that will allow you to put so many thousands of American workers out of work.
