Sara Hathaway won the 100, high jump and both hurdling events; Autumn Haller won the 200 and Tessa Sutton won the 1600 during a NSL District meet on Tuesday night.
Thanks to the trio’s performances, the Lady Cats placed second out of five teams. The boys, meanwhile, placed fifth behind Lukas Decker’s pair of sixth-place finishes in the 100 (15.41) and the shot put (22-10).
Of Hathaway’s four wins, two of them were season records. Her 13.95 in the 100 edged out the aforementioned Haller — who PRed in the same event with a 14.10 — whereas her 17.04 in the 100 hurdles was a comfortable two seconds ahead of the next finisher. Hathaway also cleared 4-10 in the high jump and won the 300 hurdles in a 52.08.
Speaking of PRs, Sutton used her own mental fortitude to not only win the 1600 in a 7:12.58, but also set a new personal best by one hundredth of a second.
Haller’s 29.08 was the only girls 200 time under 30 seconds. She also finished third in the 100 hurdles in a 20.23.
Clark Fork will compete at the District 1 Meet of Champions on Thursday, which will be held at Post Falls High School. Field events begin at 2:30 p.m.
