Ann Belden Brower, 86

Ann Belden Brower, 86, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 26, 2019. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Sandpoint, Idaho.

Born in Everett, Massachusetts, on May 6, 1932, she graduated college from Williams Memorial Institute in 1950.

Ann married Richard Brower on June 4, 1954. They were married for 57 years until Richard’s death in 2011. Upon Richard’s retirement from the Coast Guard, they relocated to Sandpoint in 1978.

She is survived by her three children, Mary Alicea, Steven Brower and Nancy Meade; as well as seven grandchildren and four great- grandchildren.

Ann was a strong and wonderful mother and wife who had a love for animals and the outdoors. She kept herself busy by volunteering for years at the local humane society as well for a local veterinarian.

She took her passion for animals and started B.S. Bar Kennel with her dear friend, Bonnie Shields, where they raised Jack Russell terriers. Ann was a generous, good humored woman who loved her family.

The Neptune Society is in charge of funeral arrangements.
