Terry Ellis Rex, 69

Terry Ellis Rex, 69, passed away on Monday, May 6, 2019, in Sandpoint, Idaho. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 10, 2019, at the Lakeview Funeral Home. Military honors will follow at the Pack River Cemetery and followed by a reception at the Eagles Lodge.

Terry was born on September 25, 1949, in Newport, Wash., to Clair and Eva Rex. He grew up and attended school in Newport. Terry served three tours in Vietnam for the United States Army. Upon his return he began logging.

Terry met Billie Rickman in 1985. After years of logging he had the opportunity to travel and lay fiber-optics cable. He and Billie traveled all over the United States for eight years. Their favorite state was Arizona. Terry retired in 2005.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, collecting guns, building guns, reloading, four-wheeling, and traveling.

He is survived by his wife, Billie Rex of Sand-point; two daughters, Denice and Christy; three grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two sisters, Linda Peterson of Pasco, Wash., and Debbie and Gene Clark of Sagle, Idaho; two stepchildren, Steve (Sally) Nichols of Atlanta, Ill., and Shelly (Millard) Davis of Smyrna, Tenn.; a brother-in-law, Chuck Randolph of Sandpoint; and sister-in-law, Mary (Keith) Lieber of Sandpoint.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Kitty Randolph.
