These rainbow trout came from the Nampa Fish Hatchery and further reared at the Sandpoint Hatchery. The fish are triploid. ‘We want them sterile so they don’t affect the wild genetics,’ said Derek Tuttle, an Idaho Department of Fish & Game fish culturist.
