Gary Ernest Tyler, 71

Gary Ernest Tyler, 71, of Ponderay, Idaho, passed away on Thursday April 25, 2019, to a sudden illness that took his life too soon.

He was born on September 7, 1947, in Missoula, Mont., the youngest of seven children, to Melvin and Goldie Tyler. Gary married wife June Palaniuk on September 2, 1967.

Gary was a volunteer firefighter with Northside Fire Department for 32 years. Most of his life he worked in saw mills or as a custodian for the Bonner County School District. He was an avid fisherman and loved to read western books.

Gary is survived by his three children, Teresa Tyler Pardick of Sagle, Idaho, Kevin (Lara) Tyler of Bonners Ferry, Idaho, and Scott Tyler of Pon-deray, Idaho. He is also survived by a brother, James Tyler; his grandchildren, Leanna Ion, Dakota Tyler and Rebecca Pardick; as well as numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, June Tyler; sisters Viola and Pat; brothers Clarence, Robert and George; and his parents.

A private celebration of life will be held June 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. for his family and friends to remember his life.
