Huchings' integrity makes him the best candidate

| May 17, 2019 1:00 AM

I’d like to state my support for Spencer Hutchings, who is the candidate running for the seat on the Pend Oreille Hospital District currently occupied by an incumbent who, we’ve learned, is part of the conflict-of-interest situation that has existed on the board for years.

When the incumbent refused to acknowledge even the slightest conflict of interest during a recent forum, it was a reminder for why we need a change on this board.

Spencer Hutchings is a Sagle business owner known for his integrity and honesty. His motivation for running is to serve the community by seeing to it that our property tax dollars are spent responsibly, ethically, and according to Idaho law. This concept seems to have gotten short shrift on the POHD board which is populated by members who have served as long as thirty years.

Spencer has an executive management background working for a national medical provider where he administered multi-million-dollar budgets. His professional qualifications for the trustee position on the POHD board are above reproach. His integrity means we can expect transparency from him, also a component missing from the current POHD board.

Your vote is important to help restore the appropriate administration of our taxpayer funds on this board. Please vote for Spencer Hutchings on May 21.
