Clark Fork's Williams, Simko stay alive in 1A tennis consolation round

EAGLE — The Clark Fork boys doubles duo Wesley Simko and Blaine Williams are still in the running at the 1A State Tennis Consolation Championship after beating 1A District 1-2 champions from CDA Charter 8-3 on Friday,
Simko and Williams fell in the first round, 3-6, 3-6.
Over in girls tennis action, Wesley’s sister Lily and Ellie Kiebert drew Parma’s defending champions in the first round, which led to 0-6 losses in straight sets. Simko and Kiebert lost to a team from Goodings 3-8 to end the season.
Simko and Williams will play at Eagle Tennis Club. Time is TBA due to Friday’s rainstorms.
