Butler, Booth named top WBCSD employees

A pair of West Bonner County School District employees have been honored by the district as its top employees for April.

Sara Butler was honored as the district’s certified employee of the month for April and Wendy Booth was named the district’s classified employee of the month for April.

In order to support and recognize outstanding employees, the district implemented the employee recognition program to honor certified and classified individuals who exemplify its vision to “strive for greatness.”

Butler has been a teacher in the West Bonner County School District for 20 years.

“Sara works countless hours for her students and her school,” district officials said in a press release. “She always has the best interest of kids in mind.

Those who visit Butler’s classroom have the chance to see a true master teacher and work and district officials said they are happy to present the longtime teacher with the awarrd.

“Thank you Sara, for all your dedication and hard work,” they said in the press release.

Booth, who has worked for the school district for 26 years, was named WBCSD’s classified employee of the month.

Booth fills many positions including bus driver and para-professional and her dedication to the district and its students is appreciated and noticed, district officials said in the press release.

“Wendy is known for always being willing to lend a hand,” they said. “She fills every minute of her day. We appreciate her positive attitude. Thank you Wendy for all you do.”

In addition to public recognition, area businesses have donated awards to the individuals who are recognized. This month’s sponsor is to 7Brews and Mind Body Soul, who present gifts to those being honored.
