May 23, 1969 – PIANO RECITAL
The piano pupils of Ruth Adams will play in recital at 7:30 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church. They will present a variety of classical or semi-classical compositions in the form of solos and duets and several students will play accompaniments for group singing. A special reading will be given by Mrs. Gerald Madsen.
Students in the program will be Susan Dreier, Connie Madsen, Kristin Thompson, Tim Fitzpatrick, Thayne Munson, Charlene Sheffler, Robin Krum, Debby Twigg, Barbara Greenleaf, Janine Sisson, Renee Savage, Johanna Munson, Rob Sisson, Douglas Madsen, John Evans, Lynn Fitzpatrick and Carleen Hamann.

NEW OFFICERS FOR STATE EMPLOYEES
Newly elected officers of the local chapter of the Idaho State Employees Assn. are Wesley Isbell, president, Marion Rhodes, vice president, and Patsy Littlefield, secretary-treasurer. Outgoing officers were Earl Charlton, president, Isbell, vice president, and Lois Charlton, secretary-treasurer.

GIRTMAN RELOCATES SHOP
George Girtman, Girtman Office Equipment and Repair, has moved from the “Self” Service TV and Appliance Store on First Ave., to the former quarters of the Hat Box, also on First.

F.J. McBride has leased the south side of the News building and is fitting it up the room as a real estate and insurance office.
Wm. Brashear of Clarksfork motored in from that city Wednesday.
Joe Willi, who is at Toul, France, has been promoted to sergeant, according to a letter he sent his brother, Phil, of the Bonner Meat co.
J. W. Ramsey had a rib broken and received bruises about the body and face one day last week while landing logs at Sunnyside. A log rolled entirely over him.
A daughter was born early last week to Carl Bergstrom and wife.
Herrmann Page, one of last year’s senior class, received word that he passed the entrance examination to the Annapolis Naval academy.

ARTHUR C. JOHNSON RETURNS
A.C. Johnson, of the Bonner Meat Co., who went to France with the 20th engineers, a lumberman regiment, returned Wednesday.

STATE NURSE IS COMING
At a meeting at city hall, the gathering voted to accept the offer of a state nurse who will come to this county for a month or six weeks and get the work lined up for a permanent nurse to follow. Dr. Wendle reminded the audience that after a nurse was put on the job last winter there was but one influenza death in the city.
