Paul Masilotti, 94, passed away at home on Friday, May 17, 2019 in Sagle, Idaho. He will be laid to rest at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside, Illinois, next to his wife Marie Masilotti on June 1, 2019.

Paul, AKA “Dutch” was born on January 15, 1925, in Chicago, Illinois, to Paul and Josephine Masilotti. Paul married Marie C. DiSilvio on August 17, 1946 in Chicago. He was an accomplished State Farm agent for 46 years in Northlake, Illinois. After Marie passed away on August 14, 2006, Paul retired and began wintering in Maui, Hawaii, where his daughter and son-in-law resided. He joined them full-time in Sagle, Idaho, in 2017.

Throughout his life he belonged to Mary Seat of Wisdom Catholic Church, St. Paul of the Cross Catholic Church and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, where he was very fond of Fr. Dennis C. Day. Family was everything to Paul. When he arrived with his four daughters, he was often greeted as “Dutch and the 4 Ds”. He enjoyed picnics in the woods and traveling. Paul came from the Italian neighborhood of Chicago and loved his family Italian recipes, old cars, everything Chicago i.e. the Cubs, Bears, and his dog “Paison.”

He is survived by his four daughters, Donna Marie (John) Lorenz of Sagle, Diane Marie (Raymond) Prokop of Ingleside, Illinois, Deborah Marie Walat of McHenry, Illinois, and Denise Marie Beyer of Petaluma, California; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marie; and a brother and three sisters.

A memorial Mass for Paul will be held at St Joseph Catholic Church in Sandpoint at noon on Monday, May 27, 2019. Followed by a reception at Victory Baptist Church in Sagle.
