Forum focuses on dementia

SANDPOINT — Today’s Geezer Forum will focus on dementia, and some of the “steps” of dementia come in questions and answers about the disease.

The forum will be held from 2:30-4 p.m. at the Columbia Bank community room/Tango Cafe.

Guest resource leader is P.J. Christo, outreach coordinator for the Coeur d’Alene office of Alzheimer’s Association. Many people have learned from Christo in the past; but she knows that we can all use refresher information about dementia, including its most common form, Alzheimer’s disease.

Christo wants to share basic dementia information with those attending the talk but Graves said she especially wants to hear from Geezer Forum participants in the form of questions, our comments and experiences as caregivers and/or as persons living with dementia.

Today’s Geezer Forum is the last one for the summer before coming back again on Sept.10.
