(Photo courtesy KEITH CURRIE via Facebook) The roots of a massive tree sit exposed after a weekend windstorm. The storm resulted in significant damage in the Outlet Bay area in Priest Lake, according to Keith Currie, who posted photos of some of the damage. The storm uprooted a clump of cedar trees, crumpled an SUV and damaged a pickup truck. "Three families impacted," Currie said in a Facebook post. "All residents and neighbors are safe, the giant clump rootball acted like the base of a pendulum of sorts, 'gently' lowering the 'superstructure' between two homes. The SUV may have lessened the 'thud' acting as a sawhorse.”
