After building an ADA swing in their welding class at Sandpoint High School this year, SHS students were among the group who broke ground on the installation of the swing at McNearney Park in Ponderay Wednesday morning. The project was spearheaded by the Rachels family of Kootenai, with the Rotary Club helping out with funding for materials, and the students providing the labor. The wheelchair-accessible swing, which will allow children with disabilities to be included in play at the park, is expected to be fully installed within a week.
