Raise a glass for an art class

| November 5, 2019 12:00 AM

Do you love living in a community that supports the arts? Or, do you just love a glass of beer? Or better yet, you love the arts, you love your beer and you love listening to great music. Yes, Pend Oreille Arts Council has put it all together thanks to Idaho Pour Authority who’s hosting our mini-fundraiser for the third year in a row.

Please join us on Wednesday, November 13 from 5 to 7:30 at IPA (203 Cedar Street) where the featured beer will be from Fremont Brewing who is generously giving a portion of sales to POAC.

“We are a family-owned craft brewery founded in 2009 to brew small-batch artisan beers made with the best local ingredients we can find,” their website says. And, their motto “… because beer matters!” makes tons of sense, doesn’t it?

Besides beer, and music by our favorites Marty Perron and Doug Bond, there will be a raffle for all things Fremont Brewing and special treats from local retailers like Finan McDonald, Eve’s Leaves, Sharon’s Hallmark and more! You don’t have to be present to win, but we bet you won’t want to leave.

“Our goal is to raise over $1, 000,” POAC’s executive director Hannah Combs said. “The money we raise will go toward outfitting a classroom at our new office space in the Old City Hall so we can offer free or low-cost art classes for the community.”

POAC’s Visual Arts program is committed to helping local artists exhibit their work professionally and to build their art careers. Please join us to raise a glass for an art class!
