Tickets are on sale now for 'Nutcracker'

| November 5, 2019 12:00 AM

With visions of sugar plums, the Pend Oreille Arts Council is once again lighting up the stage of the Panida Theater with Eugene Ballet’s “Nutcracker”.

Giving close to 40 local dancers the opportunity to perform with a professional dance troupe is a unique, unforgettable, priceless event you won’t want to miss.

Typically a sellout, this year’s performance will be held on Wednesday, December 18 at 7 p.m. Come listen to the brilliant music of Tchaikovsky while enjoying the beauty of a timeless ballet.

The score was written by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky in 1892, but has retained its timelessness and beauty. The story about a young girl’s wooden nutcracker turning into a handsome prince and taking her on a holiday extravaganza remains as energy-filled and enchanting as it did over 100 years ago.

The entire family will enjoy this fantasy trip to The Land of Sweets filled with breathtaking costumes, energetic dancing and an abundance of delightful surprises.

Tickets are available online at artinsandpoint.org, at Eve’s Leaves, Winter Ridge and the POAC office, 110 Main St.

Ticket cost is $30 for adults, children ages two to 18 are $12. This performance is made possible by the generosity of Sandpoint Super Drug, STCU and Potlatch Credit Union. For more information call the POAC office at 208-263-6139.
