Putting the ‘fun’ into fundraising this month at the Panida when national touring comedian Richie Minervini performs to benefit the Bonner Community Food Bank hosted by the Panida Theater.

Performing at major casinos, comedy clubs, corporate events, theaters and cruise ships, comedian Richie Minervini knows how to keep an audience laughing.

Minervini will be performing at the Panida on Friday, Nov. 15, at 7:30 p.m.

Well-known for his rapid-fire style delivery of good clean comedy, Miner-vini is a veteran of stand-up comedy and a seasoned comedian. Miner-vini is the former owner of Long Island’s premier comedy club, The East Side Comedy Club and that was where celebrities such as Rosie O’Donnell, Jay Leno, Eddie Murphy, Kevin James and Ray Romano started their stand-up careers.

Minervini’s television and movie credits include “The King of Queens”, “Paul Blart: Mall Cop”, “Under New Management”, “Grown Ups”, “Here Comes the Boom” and “Grown Ups 2”. Richie is also the voice of Ostrich in “Zookeeper”.

Having been dubbed “The Chameleon of Comedy” by his comedy peers, Richie Miner-vini has a heart for community and fell in love with Sandpoint several years ago.

Opening for Minervini will be local favorite Sam Cornett. ‘Handyman Sam’ as he’s known to some will bring his musical talents along with a bit of comedy to the Panida stage as well.

Patrons will have a chance to help the Bonner Community Food Bank by bringing in a canned or boxed food item or by purchasing a “dinner” for a family in need during the holidays.

The Panida will give each donation a coupon good for a discount toward a beverage of choice.

Similar in the joy they both bring others, comedy and giving come together for a special night at the Panida Theater with good clean fun for the whole family.

Tickets are $20 with a portion benefitting the nonprofits. Available online at panida.org or at the door the night of the event.
