B. Scott Brown, PE, joins James A. Sewell and Associates, LLC

James A. Sewell & Associates, LLC, is pleased to announce that Scott Brown, a native of Sandpoint, joined the firm on Sept. 24.

Brown brings 23 years of local and regional engineering experience to James A. Sewell and Associates, LLC. He is the past owner of Sandpoint engineering and land surveying business, Tucker Brown & Vermeer, LLC, where he spent the better part of 16 years designing water and sewer systems, residential and commercial subdivisions, and site development projects around Bonner and Boundary counties.

More recently, Brown has overseen the design and construction contract administration of state and federal funded municipal public works projects and multimillion dollar civil infrastructure ventures in the Silver Valley and at Spokane International Airport. Much of his recent professional time has also been devoted to project management of land development projects in Kootenai and Spokane counties.

Brown’s broad civil engineering experience and project management expertise will strengthen the company’s diverse team of planners, civil and structural engineers, surveyors, and building inspectors.
