Grades one, two, seven and eight will be in the Sagle Elementary gymnasium. Grades three, four, five and six will occupy the second floor at the Old Farmin school in Sandpoint. Nov. 14, 1919 — A HAPPY ARMISTICE DAY

American Legion Post No. 15 celebrated Armistice day with the full accord of Sandpoint. For the legal holiday, stores were closed all day in honor of the 1st anniversary of the fall of the Hun.

Due to the cold weather no attempt was made at a parade, but the legion boys kept open house at their rooms in the Abbott building much of the day. The afternoon witnessed a football game between the high school team and the Gonzaga 2nd team, a 0-0 score keeping spectators on edge as the teams fought for supremacy. The day closed with a ball at the Liberty, with Whitehead’s jazz band from Spokane furnishing music for a crowd that jammed the Liberty to the doors.
