| November 15, 2019 12:00 AM

Next Wednesday, November 20, from 6-8 p.m., St. Joseph’s Catholic Church is hosting a talk on Archbishop Fulton Sheen, by Dr. Peter Howard.

St. Joseph’s is located at 601 S. Lincoln in Sandpoint.

Dr. Peter Howard holds a doctorate in sacred theology from the Angelicum in Rome. He is founder of the Fulton Sheen Institute, author of “The Woman” — the authoritative book on Fulton Sheen’s Mariology — and has traveled internationally, helping others discover this future saint. He’s been featured on Catholic television and radio programs such as EWTN, Catholic Answers Live, the Patrick Madrid Show, CatholicTV, Shalom World, Radio Maria, and Relevant Radio. Dr. Howard and his wife Chantal are also the founders of the Heroic Families.

Archbishop Fulton Sheen was the most electrifying Catholic preacher of the 20th century. And the popularity of his wit and wisdom has only grown with each year. This Apostle of the Airwaves held millions captive with his “Life Is Worth Living” television show and countless radio interviews and books. With Archbishop Sheen’s beatification right around the corner, now is the time to introduce our parish to this prophetic teacher, profound humorist and humble servant of Christ. This talk introduces you to the life of Fulton Sheen and his rise to the most popular evangelizer of modern times.
