SANDPOINT — The Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce welcomed Northwest Self Storage (formerly Sandpoint Storage) with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Nov. 18.

Northwest Self Storage specializes in the self-storage industry in the Pacific Northwest, managing over 100 properties throughout Oregon, Washington, and Idaho. They started as a family owned and operated company, founded by Kevin Howard over 30 years ago. In 2010, Kevin’s daughter, Dawn Tangvald, joined the company and together they have transformed the company to lead the industry from both a customer service and technology standpoint.

NW Self Storage values the importance of giving back and supporting the communities in which they operate and does so with the Northwest Self Storage Foundation’s Give Collective program.

The Give Collective Program’s mission is to encourage a philanthropic culture amongst employees and support their efforts to volunteer at non-profits in their communities and give to causes that are important to them. Multiple times throughout the year, employees can apply for a $1,000 grant to the non-profit of their choice. Each year, the company givea $10,000 to employee-selected non-profits in their local communities.

Although NW Self Storage is under new ownership, they still have the same great location managers, Dennis Swanson and Jerry Whitley, running the operations here locally.

For more information visit their website: www.nwselfstorage.com or call Dennis or Jerry at 208-263-7276. They are located at 32607 Highway 200 in Sandpoint.
