Powers of Gratitude taking place today

The Powers of Gratitude will be taking place today, Thanksgiving Eve, with live music by The Powers, a lighting of Matchwood Brewing Company’s “Gratitude Tree,” and a donation collection for this year’s local charity.

The event takes palce from 5-9 p.m. at Matchwood Brewing, 513 Oak St.

This year, Matchwood Brewing is accept diapers, feminine hygiene products, or other non-perishable donations to put under its “Gratitude Tree.” The items will be donated to Priest River Ministries - Advocates for Women — an organization with locations in Sandpoint, Priest River and Spirit Lake dedicated to supporting and sheltering woman, children and families who are victims of domestic or sexual violence.

Upon bringing in a donation, you will receive an ornament to decorate and place on the tree. Matchwood also is asking guests to highlight the things for which they are grateful for as the community heads into the holiday season.
