Free cross country clinic and race for LPOSD elementary students

The Sandpoint High School cross country team will host a cross country clinic and race for Lake Pend Orielle Elementary students in fourth, fifth and sixth grades this Thursday.

The event will be held at Sandpoint High School and registration starts at 3:30 p.m. The event begins at 3:45 p.m. and will end by 5:30.

The clinic will be run by SHS cross country athletes and coaches and will talk about running form, training, warming up, cooling down and pacing.

The clinic will last about an hour and then there will be a one mile race around the high school campus for all participants. The clinic and race is offered free of charge to all LPOSD Elementary students.

Each participant must be accompanied by a parent at registration to sign necessary paperwork, or download the form and send it signed with their child. The form can be downloaded from the SHSXC website at www.shsxc.com.
