IRT holding fundraiser

The Independence Race Team is holding a fundraiser at Idaho Pour Authority on Wednesday, Oct. 2 from 5 to 8.

Idaho Pour Authority is located at 203 Cedar St., in Sandpoint

The Independence Race Team is a non-profit organization with eight members ranging from 7 years old to 17 years of age.

Members are responsible for lift tickets/season’s passes, ski gear, USSA membership and race entry fees. There are no charges for coaching, use of equipment, or insurance.

IRT members continue to work to fund their own racing, from car washes on Sundays all summer to pay for camps, registrations and personal equipment. In addition, a “pole party” is held each fall and everyone swaps down to minimize the need for purchases.
