Need to print something? Turn to the library

| October 4, 2019 1:00 AM

Well, it’s 2019 and we are not all driving flying cars. But, you can now send a print job to The Library from your device wherever you happen to be; home, a coffee shop, Mozambique, or anywhere with an internet connection. Press “send” and your document will be waiting for you at the Tech Desk on the second floor at the Sandpoint Library within seconds. It’s like your document is flying through the interwebs via an invisible paper airplane.

To use it, go to ebonnerlibrary.org and click on the web feature that reads “Wireless Printing from home or The Library!” You’ll be able to click a link that allows you to upload your document to print. If you want to look at some step-by-step instructions, that’s in there, too.

While you don’t need to download any special software, we recommend that you download the app. Rather than sending your document to the Tech Desk for staff to print, the app allows you to print directly to the printer. That saves you from waiting in line for staff to print it for you and is more confidential.

Keep in mind that prints are held in the queue for four hours. After that they dissolve in cyberspace. So, printing from Mozambique is not recommended.

The following classes and events take place at the East Bonner County Library District Sandpoint Branch, 1407 Cedar St. unless otherwise indicated.
