Brenda Thompson
1. I attended City Council meetings for years and then accepted an appointment to this position. I would like to continue to serve Ponderay and be a part of shaping its future.
2. I see and speak to our Ponderay community on a daily basis. I hear their concerns.
3. Rapid growth and having proper infrastructure to handle the growth.
4. I plan to be financially responsible with taxpayer money.
5. I believe this is the best way to fund projects that will benefit our county, not just our city residents. I look forward to hearing what our voters in Ponderay have to say.
6. Both projects will benefit our community. The Field of Dreams location is perfect for a recreational park. The underpass will allow better emergency service access. If the railroad ever fences in or enforces the non trespassing signs, we lose local access — a huge loss.
7. I want our residents to know I work for them and I hear them. Too many voice concerns that the council looks out for the business sector. I would like our residents to know I represent them, I hear them, and i will fight for them.
8. Reviewing information, talking to my fellow council members, mayor, and the people of Ponderay.
9. Being a part of shaping Ponderay and our future. Ponderay is growing and changing fast. I live and work in Ponderay and want to be a part of taking care of it.
10. Whatever criticism there is, I will listen and learn from it. I will take people’s criticism into consideration.
11. I would like to get more people coming to the City Council meetings and have their voices heard. Be aware — be informed.
12. Who do you represent? The working- class residents of Ponderay.
