Teen reportedly missing in area

SANDPOINT — The alleged victim in a felony battery case is listed as a missing person, according to Idaho State Police.
Hailey Ashlynnd Swansen’s last date of contact was on Tuesday, ISP’s Idaho Missing Persons Clearinghouse online database indicates. The 17-year-old stands 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. Swansen has red hair and blue eyes.
Swansen was last seen wearing a white long-sleeved shirt with a black vest trimmed with fur, in addition to black sandals. She has a fair complexion, a tattoo on her right arm and wears a nose ring, according to the clearinghouse.
Those with information about Swansen’s whereabouts are asked to call the Sandpoint Police at 208-265-1482. Word of her disappearance turned up on social media on Wednesday.
Swansen was allegedly attacked by two teenage girls, one of whom was reportedly armed with a baseball bat, at City Beach on July 2.
The Daily Bee does not identify crime victims, although her family has spoken publicly about the incident to Spokane television stations.
Caitlyn Grace Haskins, 18, is awaiting trial on a charge of aggravated battery in connection with the alleged attack. Haskins pleaded not guilty to the charge in August and is scheduled to be tried in December in 1st District Court.
The other alleged assailant, 17, was reportedly being prosecuted in a sealed juvenile court proceeding.
