Fall into the fun of halloween, autumn festivities
It’s a busy week of fall festivities from Halloween trick-or-treating at the Bonner County Museum and Lions Den to trick-or-treating at Sandpoint City Hall. There’s also a warming station at Christ Our Redeemer Church and for those who like a little spookiness with the Halloween, Lake Pend Oreille High School is again hosting The Zombie Nest haunted house at the north end of the Hoot Owl parking lot.
Let’s dive right in and get to all of the entertainment treats.
THURSDAY, Oct. 31
Halloween Trick-or-Treat
Venue: Sandpoint City Hall, 1123 Lake St.
Time: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Calling all zomboys and ghouls. Sandpoint officials and employees invite school-age children to begin their Halloween celebrations with trick-or-treating at City Hall from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Sandpoint City Hall, 1123 Lake St. (between Ella and Olive, right across from Pine Street Park). City Council Chambers will be decorated, passing out candy, and a special dance presentation of Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” by the Parks & Rec. Acro-Dance Show Troupe.

Bonner County History Museum Trick-or-Treat
Venue: Bonner County History Museum, 611 S. Ella St., and Sandpoint Lions Den
Time: 4-7 p.m.
Enjoy safe, fun, and free trick-or-treating and check out the Halloween-decorated museum in all its spooky glory! Plus, the Lions Den will have warm drinks and sweet treats.
Admission: Free and open to the public.
Halloween Warm-up Station
Venue: Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1900 Pine St.
Time: 4-8 p.m.
Looking for somewhere to park on Halloween? Christ Our Redeemer Lutheran Church will have their parking lot open and a great warming station to help fend off the cold. There will be mac ‘n’ cheese, warm drinks, fire pits and covered seating. Parking lot is open all evening; warming station open 4-8 p.m.

The Zombie Nest
Venue: Hoot Owl parking lot, 30784 Highway 200, Ponderay
Time: 5-8 p.m. (Also Friday and Saturday)
The living dead have arrived in town to scare up for Halloween fun as LPOHS students’ bring to live a fun haunted house as a fundraiser for the school’s trip to Washington, D.C. and New York in June 2020

Three Nights of Halloween
Venue: A&P’s Bar & Grill, 222 N. First Ave.
Time: 10 p.m.
Tonight, it’s a costume contest for everyone.

Dress Up As Dave Contest
