Adult Ed centers accepting students

| September 3, 2019 1:00 AM

North Idaho College’s Adult Education centers are now accepting new students. The free classes prepare students to take the GED battery of tests. Classes begin Tuesday, Sept. 3. Centers are located in Coeur d’Alene, Sandpoint, Kellogg, and Bonners Ferry.

After completing a skills review, an incoming student meets with an adult education student advisor to assess their skills and create an education plan. Tuition and learning materials are provided at no cost.

The Adult Education program provides instructor-led day and night classes, and has a free online study course – GED Academy. The center serves individuals, 16 years of age and older, who have withdrawn from public school and adults who have a high school diploma, but would like to upgrade their skills.

Those interested should sign up for a mandatory orientation and assessment. In Sandpoint, call the Sandpoint Adult Education Center at 208-263-4594. In Boundary County, call the Bonners Ferry Adult Education Center at 208-267-3878.
