Library full of fun as autumn on the way

| September 4, 2019 1:00 AM

Autumn is on the way and the West Bonner Libraries have a full schedule of programs planned. The Live & Learn series will kick off the fall season with “Plan Your Winter Garden”.

University of Idaho Extension Educator Jennifer Jensen will discuss what is necessary to prepare and grow a winter garden in our North Idaho climate. Learn how to extend the growing season, which crops do best in the cold and how to protect them.

This program will be held at on Thursday, Sept. 5 at 5:30 p.m.

On Thursday, Sept 12 at 5:30 p.m., Fish and Game officer Doug Meyer will be on hand for a Fish & Game update and will discuss current Idaho 2019-2020 hunting and fishing regulations and recent updates including changes to Idaho’s private property and trespass laws.

This is a good opportunity to have questions answered and “know before you go.” Both Live & Learn Programs will be held at the Priest River Library.

For family friendly fun, join Christa and crew for Trivia Tuesday at the River City Tap House. The challenge begins at 5:30 on Tuesday, September 10. Bring a team and win Tap House gift certificates. Trivia Tuesdays are held on the second Tuesday of the month.

Kids’ Krafternoon is moving to the second Thursday of each month. This after school art program is for kids in grades K-4. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month, September-May, at 3 p.m.

The first Krafternoon will be on September 12 and kids will make a felt possibles pouch to carry valuables. Please register ahead for this program as seating is limited.
