WA hearings are typical government waste

The water adjudication meeting Monday, Sept. 9, in Clark Fork at 11 a.m. for two hours, started on time. First slide, eight items ended with number 9 of questions last. Questions started after the first slide. Second slide consisted of a diagram of direction of various legalities. More questions. After 55 minutes and no further slides, I brashly asked if they would please finish the presentation before more questions. The three reps from the gaggle working from the water adjudication — water adjudication was heard about 2 million times up to that point — and a local politician attired less neatly than the full standing crowd. They they questioned ma and asked how Sandpointers thought about water adjudication. They managed to forget they were to present in Sandpoint the same evening,but twice in Bonners Ferry and twice in the Priest Lake area. I couldn’t bear to stay any longer.

The only fact presented was an estimated 19.5% population increase in North Idaho in the next five years, and the water adjudication program was finishing in two more years, 2021. Apparently the lawyers, judges and courts take over. Charles Krautheimer would probably have labeled the plan as a “save the attorneys” program. I never heard where and how to fill out my water adjudication claim. How many unelected folks and how much the the taxpayers are funding the solution looking for a problem?
