| September 13, 2019 1:00 AM

The community is invited to these September peacemaking events at the First Presbyterian Church of Sandpoint on the corner of Alder Street and N Fourth Avenue.

Peace Corps presentation — Wednesday, Sept. 18-19, 6:30-8 p.m. What do you know about the Peace Corps? Have you wondered what the Peace Corps looks like today? When Presbyterian Rev. Paul Rodkey retired as a Spokane pastor he and his wife, Kerri, volunteered for a tour with the Peace Corps in Africa. Come find out what a tour with the Peace Corps can look like.

Peace With Our Earth — Wednesday, 9-25-19, 6:30-8 p.m. This presentation and discussion facilitated by Gabrielle Duebendorfer, N.D., Citizen Climate Lobby, Sandpoint, will explore meaningful, hopeful and respectful conversation about climate change. This church-based conversation will offer potential solutions to the sense of urgency that is evoked. This event is co-sponsored with the First Presbyterian Church, First Lutheran Church, Sandpoint Friends Meeting (Quakers) and the Gardenia Center.

These evening programs offer opportunity to explore topics that can inform our personal ideas and beliefs about peace and action in our world. The congregation invites the community to join them in the conversation. No registration is required.
