Railroads going to do what they want regardless

Recently at the main train depot outside of Chicago 18 Union Pacific train cars went of the track, many tank cars breaking open spilling toxic chemicals and large toxic clouds in the air. This forced local neighborhoods and businesses to be evacuated as well as two local schools evacuated.

So by all means, let’s let the railroad build another bridge next to the Long Bridge to allow twice as many trains rolling through our towns and residential areas. It’s only going to take one major train derailment in Sandpoint to possibly destroy the town and surrounding areas. But actually who cares as the railroads are going to do whatever they want to do whenever they want to do it and nobody can do a darn thing about it as lots of folks have tried.
