| September 18, 2019 1:00 AM

EAST HOPE — Yo-da-lay-ee-ee.

Come celebrate the beginning of Oktoberfest with the folks at Memorial Community Center on Saturday, Sept. 21, from 5-9 p.m. That means it is going to have a barrel of fun at the Hope Memorial Community Center located at 415 Wellington Place in East Hope.

There will be a homemade braut dinner for $15 each or two for $25, which includes homemade brauts from the Hess family, delicious sauerkraut, Sweet Lou’s baked beans, potato salad from The Floating Restaurant in Hope, delicious cake from The Davis Grocery & Mercantile, and a drink. There will also be a kid’s meal available for $5.

Dinner will start at 5 p.m. and you don’t want to be late. At 6 p.m., you can look forward to live music by the Ponderay Paradox Band. Bring your dancing shoes or just kick back with good friends around the fire pit.

Great brews on tap, wine and soft drinks, and a bucket raffle that includes two cords of Red Fir Firewood cut/split, a weekend at the Seasons at Sandpoint, a two-hour consultation from “the Plant Artist,” Cindy Gauthier for the 2020 season, and a great Oktoberfest basket full of goodies with something for everyone. MCC is located at 415 Wellington Place in Hope.
