On Dec. 18, 2018, Jack DeBaun stated that C.R. Scotese was “... An obscure person with no discernible expertise ... who is not an expert in paleo temperature reconstruction.” Even after I schooled Jack that Dr. Scotese had “... earned his Ph.D. in geology and paleogeography in 1985,” and had “co-authored more than 100 scientific publications” in that field of expertise, Jack continues to act as if he is the authority on so-called climate change and as if anyone who disagrees with him is wrong. That is an “uncompromising and dogmatic” human, an ideologue. Frequently, liberal ideologues will accuse people who doubt them as being what they themselves are being — especially if the facts are contrary to their ideology.

It will come as no surprise, then, if such an ideologue criticizes Joe Bastardi for his Aug. 16, 2019 statement that “Wildfires this year are well below the 10-year average.” Thus affirming the historical facts revealed by Roy Spencer, Ph.D., in “Global Warming Scepticism for Busy People” that wildfires are not more numerous due to a climate change. Joe Bastardi introduced us to Dr. Scotese in “The Climate Chronicles”. Please read both.

On Sept. 9, 2019, “Watts Up With That” published an in-depth scientific analysis of climate models. One conclusion was that “there is no evidence whatsoever that CO2 emissions have increased, are increasing, will increase, or even can increase global average surface air temperature.” The models are faulty and unreliable. We should expect Jack to criticize “WUWT.”
