Climate change not caused by modern man

| September 24, 2019 1:00 AM

There is desperation in Jack DeBaun’s letters on climate change. De Baun prefers insult to reason when attempting to refute those with differing opinions. He feigns adherence to science yet ignores the provable fact that while climate change is an ongoing process which has existed for millions of years, it is not in the present day caused by man.

Those who refuse to acknowledge reality (who are, in fact, the real “deniers,) have turned climate change into a religion which unfortunately no amount of study or research will alter. They, along with other brain-washed citizens have bought into a trillion dollar fraud.

Typical of this bamboozle is the demonization of carbon dioxide. I defy anyone (batter up, all you SHS science teachers) to explain the mechanism by which a harmless, tasteless, odorless gas which occupies less than one half of one percent of the atmosphere has any meaningful effect on the climate.

For the true believers, here’s a quote from geoscientist and former UN consultant, David Kear. In 2014, Kear said global warming fears are “based on unfounded, unscientific beliefs.” He lamented the “astronomical cost of proposed measures to combat a non-existent threat.” From Brazilian geologist Geraldo Lino’s 2009 book “The Global Warming Fraud: How a Natural Phenomena Was Converted into a False World Emergency: “AWG has been forcefully imposed by a barrage of scare stories and indoctrination beginning in elementary school textbooks.”
