While reading through the letters to the editor this week, I was startled to read plans are underway to move the pictures of the Priest River High School graduates that line the walls at the Jr. High… The photos are history, pictures you would like your kids to see. (Linda Ramsey)

Max Salesky sent in samples taken from city hall, school, Pagnotta’s service station, Pend d’Oreille River, Frank Horn residence, and Felsman residence. Dr. Stauffer sent in samples from his residence and the hospital. All were found safe for domestic use.

Stingy with equipment

Strange things are occurring these days. Even the Great Northern Railroad Company has at last realized the advantages of modern labor-saving equipment in the depot, an adding machine having been added to the office equipment. This will greatly lighten the work of the office force in totaling up the railroad’s income. Needless to say, the office force were the ones to “dig up” for the machine.
