Apr. 2, 1970 – EARNS COMMISSION
Dennis J. Timoskevich, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph V. Timoskevich of Sagle, has been commissioned a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force upon graduation from Officer Training School at Lackland, AFB, Tex. He has been assigned to Reese AFB, Tex. for pilot training.
A 1965 graduate of Sandpoint Senior High School, the lieutenant received his B.S. degree in 1969 from the University of Idaho. His wife is the former Elsie R. Zabala from Quito, Ecuador.

MOONLIGHT MADNESS FRIDAY
Moonlight Madness sale will be held Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. by the Sandpoint businessmen and the Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce Retail Merchants Committee. Shops will close at their regular hour, but when they reopen for the two-hour bargain marathon, owners, managers and sales people will be dressed in “sleepy time” garb, offering some of the year’s greatest bargains.

RETIREMENT DINNER FOR RALPH PLANK
Ralph Plank concluded a long career with Safeway Stores Tuesday night when he and his wife Thelma were honored by Sandpoint store personnel with a dinner at Pastime Cafe.
Plank devoted almost 43 years to Safeway Stores service, managing the Sandpoint store since January, 1954. He is an active member of Sandpoint Camera and Sandpoint Kiwanis Clubs.

Apr. 2, 1920 – HIGH SCHOOL TEAMS FETED
High School basket ball players to the number of 30 were guests Tuesday evening at a banquet served in the domestic science department of the Farmin school. The banquet was also attended by Principal M.B. Dunkle, Coach and Mrs. Hagle and Grafton Mason, Jr., the latter attending the affair as the pet peeve of losing teams. Mr. Mason officiated as referee at all the home games played by both boys’ and girls’ teams. A delightful spread was succeeded by a cleverly arranged program.

Axel Nelson Tuesday took his small son Billy to Spokane for an operation for mastoiditis.
Graduates of the local high school will meet at the high school building this evening at 8 o’clock to form an association of the alumni.
Mrs. Guy Davison (611 Cedar) gave a birthday party for her four year old son Ralph, Wednesday. Eight children of the neighborhood were present.
