Driver killed in Tuesday crash

A person was killed Tuesday when their passenger car failed to negotiate a left turn at U.S. 95 and Careywood Road, according to a press release from Idaho State Police.
The accident was reported at about 8:30 p.m.
ISP said the car was northbound when the driver failed to negotiate the turn. The vehicle entered the northbound ditch and turned sideways, striking a telephone pole and then started to roll. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt and was ejected from the vehicle, ISP said.
The driver was declared deceased on scene. Identification of the victim is pending next of kin notification.
The northbound lane of travel was blocked for approximately three hours. The investigation is ongoing.
